An Optic favorite, one of the early songs which appears on the debut album Sunset Noir. Buy
Inside (Single Edit)
This is a very early track which came out as the bands first single, taken from the debut album Sunset Noir. The first version of the track was very downtempo. The break is actually the original chorus, but when deciding to let the song take another direction we also realized we had to come up with a more catchy refrain.
Freak Show Cabaret (Reverse Mix)
The idea and inspiration behind Freak Show Cabaret came from the song “Crimes of Cain” written and performed by the singer/songwriter Joan Baez. Crimes of Cain is the soundtrack of the movie “To Kill a Priest” (1988) and is only available on the original soundtrack vinyl album released in France ’88. We made a cover version of the song just for fun, kept the chords and arrangement and then came up with a totally new melody… Freak Show Cabaret.
The song was obviously appreciated, and we were asked to make an exclusive remix of the song for the Conzoom Records Electropop series. In this version we let Caroline B add female vocals on the chorus, something we always thought would add an extra feel to it. Original version appears on Sunset Noir. Buy
Devil & I (Diablo Remix)
This is actually the first song ever written by Optic. Original version as well as this remix version appears on the debut album Sunset Noir. This is the only track, so far, in which we have used real guitars, thank you Ludvig S. Buy
