Optic participates with a brand new track called Follow You on the second compilation of Swedish Electro acts, download a free copy now!
We’re happy to present a new release from Optic just before the summer takes off. This remix EP is a collection of re-worked versions of four classic songs taken from the debut album Sunset Noir. Renoir includes previously exclusive releases like Devil & I (Control Mix) and Freak Show Cabaret (Reverse Mix) both remastered at Cosmos Studios, a brand new remix of Closer (Atomic 13 Mix) and a great mix of China Kite (Rotation Mix), mixed and produced by our dear friend Erik Skalin.
It is very appreciated when people help us “spread the news around the world”. This is a contribution from Draven Crow. Thanks!
Optic is currently working on new material for a new release later this year. Meanwhile we will release a new remix of the classic song China Kite from our debut album Sunset Noir, once again remixed by our dear friend Erik Skalin. The single will also include remixes of Devil & I and Freak Show Cabaret, previously only released on compilations.
The full catalogue is now available on Bandcamp + an exclusive download including Devil & I (Control Mix)* and Freak Show Cabaret (Reverse Mix)**.
* also available on Swedish Electro vol 1
** also available on Electropop 4
A brand new remix of the classic Optic song Devil & I will be released the 5th of January 2013 as a free download to celebrate 1000 likes on the Swedish Electro Scene FB page. This remix gives a hint of the new sound for the next Optic release expected this spiring.
We are happy to finally present our new single “Saint”, a song which was initially written for a live show at Fotografiska in Stockholm, August 2010. It was meant to be included on the “Killing the Brave EP”, but was rejected in the last phase of the recording, as we felt it didn’t fit in conceptually. The single contains three versions of the song; the “Single Edit” which is very “eighties” and “Yazoo-ish”, the “Movement Mix” which has a strong “nineties” and Pet Shop Boys feel to it, and a third version named “Dirty Jam Mix” -a tribute to the alternative scene of the late seventies. Once again we collaborate with photographer and art director Andreas Beronius. Saint is released in a digital format only, and can be streamed or purchased at all major digital distributors world wide.
